Soroptimist International
Soroptimist International is a worldwide volunteer service organization for women who work for peace, and in particular to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
Soroptimist International of the Americas®
Soroptimist® was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Today, we have about 160,000 members and supporters in 21 countries and territories. We are one of four federations that make up Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
Soroptimist Northwestern Region
Four regions exist between three Northwestern States, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The mission of the Northwestern Region is to provide its members with leadership training and education empowering them to promote and implement region-identifying projects and to advance human rights and the status of women locally and globally.
