Bunches of Lunches
Food to Home
The Bunches of Lunches program serves children in the Junction City school district. Members pack and distribute healthy meal items to Laurel and Territorial Elementary Schools, Oaklea Middle School, and Junction City High School for kids to take home with them over the weekend. Bunches of lunches is an equal opportunity provider.
Long Term Project
Partnership with Ophelia's Place JC
Just like Ophelia's Place, Junction City Soroptimists also believes in helping young girls discover their strengths and grow into informed, valued and empowered young women. OP/Junction City is a safe community where girls ages 10-18 can do just that...flourish.
Children's Literacy
Book Give-Away
Each year around Dr. Seuss's birthday Soroptimists® and our community partners give out books to elementary school children in Junction City, Harrisburg and Monroe. Educating our youth through literacy is a must, because as Dr. Seuss says, “the more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
Saturday of Service & Soroptimist Assist
Personal Care Items
SI/Junction City hands out personal care items to women and girls in need. These care bags can be found at Junction City Local Aid, God's Storehouse in Harrisburg, South Benton Food Pantry in Monroe and Junction City, Harrisburg, and Monroe schools. To donate items such as shampoo, lotion, hygiene products, and hairbands, please get in touch with us.
Children's Theatre
Missoula Children's Theatre
SI/Junction City hosts the Missoula Children's Theatre at Laurel Elementary School. Children learn their role and perform a play all within a week. We strongly believe in MCT's mission to develop life skills in children through participation in the performing arts.
